NEW YORK – October 22, 2014 – Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of the Duke University Blue Devils and the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, will debut the 10th season of his weekly SiriusXM show, Basketball and Beyond with Coach K, this Thursday, October 23 (6:00 pm ET) on SiriusXM College Sports Nation, channel 91.

Coach K will be joined on the season premiere by Kansas Jayhawks head basketball coach Bill Self and Denver Nuggets/U.S. Men’s National Team forward Kenneth Faried. Throughout the season, a new edition of Basketball and Beyond will air every Thursday on SiriusXM College Sports Nation, which is available on satellite radios, on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and at SiriusXM.com. Each show will also be available on SiriusXM On Demand.

“It is amazing that we have been part of the SiriusXM team for a decade,” said Krzyzewski. “Working side by side with my partner Dave Sims, we have tried to deliver compelling conversations to our listeners over the past nine seasons. I am certain our 10th year will be no different. We’re very proud of the show and we thoroughly enjoy doing it each week throughout college basketball season. We are excited to get started this week with two outstanding guests in Coach Self and Kenneth Faried.”

“We’re honored and excited to be embarking on a 10th season of Basketball and Beyond,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “Coach K is one of the most exceptional figures of our time. To have him on SiriusXM all these years sharing his perspective and inspiring people, in sports and in their daily lives, is truly special.”

Basketball and Beyond features Coach K discussing a wide array of subjects and interviewing successful people from sports, entertainment, government and more. Some of the high profile guests who have joined Krzyzewski on the program over the past nine seasons include former NBA Commissioner David Stern, General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, fellow coaching greats Bob Knight, John Madden, Pat Summitt , Joe Torre, Bill Belichick and many others.

Over 39 years as a head basketball coach, 34 of them at Duke University, Coach K has built one of the most extraordinary coaching resumes in sports history. He is the all-time winningest head coach in NCAA Men’s Division I basketball history with 983 victories, and has led Duke to four NCAA Championships, 13 ACC Tournament championships and 11 Final Four appearances. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.

Krzyzewski has been involved with USA Basketball as a coach on and off since 1979, when he started out as an assistant to Bob Knight. Over that time he has helped lead the U.S. to 10 gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals. Since 2005, when USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo selected Krzyzewski as the Senior Men’s National Team head coach, the USA is an extraordinary 75-1 in major international competitions.

In addition to Coach K’s program, SiriusXM carries live play-by-play coverage of Duke basketball games throughout the season. SiriusXM is the leading broadcaster of live college sporting events and offers play by play from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, Pac 12, SEC, American Athletic Conference and other NCAA Division I conferences.
