InGame Mobile Brings Duke Basketball Games to Life during Final Four

New Interactive App Lets Fans Predict Game Play and Compete for Great Prizes

Durham, N.C. (April 1, 2015) – In advance of the Duke Blue Devils first Final Four appearance in five years, InGame Mobile announces a pilot program with Duke University to engage with fans during its men’s basketball games. The family-friendly interactive mobile application lets users answer trivia questions and predict game play in real-time. Players earn points for correct answers and predictions for a chance to win great prizes, including a piece of the old Cameron Indoor Stadium floor.

Duke University is the first college to offer InGame’s interactive experience. The pilot launched during the ACC Basketball Tournament and carried over into the NCAA Tournament. A user survey found that 97 percent of participants responded they would play again and 94 percent said they would recommend the app to a friend.

“At Duke, we constantly look to enhance our offerings in the digital realm in order to make the fan experience a more enjoyable and engaging one,” says Ryan Craig, director of digital media at Duke University. “Our adoption of InGame is one of the results of this ongoing process and we’ve been very pleased with the response we’ve received from those who have played so far during the ACC and NCAA Tournaments.”

According to the RBForum 2014 Report, 76 percent of adults used a second screen whilst watching a live sporting event on television. To engage with these mobile users, InGame Mobile offers an interactive game experience that tests fans’ knowledge of their favorite teams and the game. Players compete against each other for a chance to win prizes from participating sports teams. Questions appear during breaks in the action throughout the game via push notifications, and players are on-the-clock to submit an answer.  After a user responds, the app displays a graph revealing how other participants answered.

“With more than 40 million Americans participating in fantasy sports, it’s evident that sports fans are looking for ways to be more engaged with athletic events,” states Ed Trimble, founder and CEO of InGame, Inc. “Duke is the first college to offer a play along mobile game to its fans while they cheer on the team at home or at the arena, and we’re thrilled about the positive reception we have seen from its fans.”

The InGame Mobile application is available for iOS and Android devices. Visit, http://ingamemobile.com/, to download the app prior to Duke’s match up against Michigan State on April 4, 2015.
