With the Duke men’s basketball season now in full swing, the Blue Devils are starting to catch their stride. In addition to posting strong team play in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, individual Blue Devils have also been recognized for their performances this season, including freshman Jahlil Okafor, who has garnered ACC Rookie of the Week honors twice already this year. While current Blue Devils continue to receive attention for their on-court performances this season, multiple former Blue Devils are also being recognized for their efforts during their college careers.

Coaches vs. Cancer Classic Earning a 70-59 victory over Stanford in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic Championship game Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., the Blue Devils ended a difficult stretch in their schedule that included five games in nine days. The win marked the 17th in-season tournament championship for Coach Krzyzewski.

ACC Freshman of the Week For the second straight week, freshman center Jahlil Okafor received ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Okafor helped guide the Blue Devils to victory in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic Championship game by recording his first collegiate double-double.

“I Hate Christian Laettner” ESPN Films recently announced a new documentary, titled “I Hate Christian Laettner,” a film that features the polarizing former Blue Devil who hit one of the most memorable shots in college basketball history. The film is scheduled to premiere Sunday, March 15, at 9 p.m. on ESPN. Laettner’s iconic shot can be seen below.

Grant Hill Inducted Into College Basketball HoF Grant Hill joined seven other inductees in Kansas City, Mo., Sunday night for the 2014 College Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony.
