Greensboro — A fluid situation at the 2020 ACC Tournament continues to spiral. The ACC has cancelled the 2020 ACC Tournament due to complications and concerns with COVID-19 (coronavirus). On Wednesday the league announced that fans would no longer be allowed into the arena; earlier in the morning on Thursday, ACC Commissioner John Swofford stated that the league would in fact continue play.
Elsewhere around the college basketball universe, though, several other prominent leagues decided to cancel their tournaments, including the Big Ten, SEC and AAC.
