Duke signee Grayson Allen lead his Providence Stallions against Duke recruit Tyler Dorsey and his St. John Bosco Braves in the City of Palms Classic. Allen is an ultra-athletic wing with penchant for finishing strong in the lane and Dorsey is strong handle having point guard with range and craftiness.
Providence would get the best of St. John Bosco 75-70 with Grayson Allen hitting from outside the arc and getting to the rim and showing why he will be one of Duke’s most athletic wings in the Coach K era. Allen would finish with 31 of his teams 75 points. Allen would also pull down 7 rebounds in the back and forth affair.
Tyler Dorsey, saddled with foul trouble, scored 11 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in the loss before fouling out with 1:22 left in the game.
