Duke is back at Cameron Indoor Stadium for the 2022 ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and the Blue Devils with new head coach Jon Scheyer will welcome Ohio State on Wednesday, Nov. 30 as the matchups for the 24th edition of the event were released Friday by ESPN.
Duke and Ohio State are meeting for the second straight year and for the fifth time overall in the event. The series is tied at 2-2 in challenge games, with the Buckeyes taking last year’s thriller in Columbus, 71-66, despite 17 points, eight boards and five assists from Wendell Moore Jr.
Duke is 19-4 (.826) all-time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, marking both the most wins and best winning percentage in the event’s history. The all-time series between Duke and Ohio State dates back to 1963 and the series is deadlocked at 4-4.
On the heels of a 32-7 season, an ACC regular season title and an appearance in the program’s 17th Final Four in 2022, the Blue Devils return rising junior starting point guard Jeremy Roach and welcome the nation’s No. 1 incoming class as Scheyer takes the helm of his alma mater.
The ACC leads the all-time series in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, 12-8-3, but the Big Ten has won the event in each of the past three seasons.
