DURHAM, N.C. – Game times have been finalized for the Duke men’s basketball program’s exhibition games against the Dominican Republic National Team on its upcoming trip to the Caribbean nation.
The Blue Devils are scheduled to play the DR at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 20, in Santiago. The contest will be moved to a 1 p.m. ET tip if Santiago hosts game seven of the Dominican Republic pro league finals.
Duke is scheduled to play a second exhibition against the DR at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Santo Domingo.
Ticket and broadcast information for the two exhibition contests is still being determined. The above games times are subject to change.
The exhibition games coincide with the Dominican Republic National Team’s preparation for the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup, which is set for Aug. 25-Sept. 3 in Colombia. The DR currently stands at No. 18 on the FIBA World Rankings.
The Blue Devils will depart for the tour on Thursday, Aug. 17, and return to Durham on Thursday, Aug. 24. The trip itinerary also currently includes a number of cultural activities, such as a tour of the Santo Domingo Colonial Zone, a tour of the historic Estadio Quisqueya baseball venue and a catamaran to
