Duke freshman guard Kon Knueppel has been named ACC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday, Nov. 11. In the 2-0 week, Knueppel averaged 18.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest, while shooting 56.5% from the field and 50.0% behind the arc.

In his collegiate debut, Knueppel scored a game-high 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field, including 3-of-8 from three-point range, and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line, while adding four rebounds, two assists and a steal versus Maine.

Against Army, he once again topped the Blue Devils in scoring with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-6 from long distance, while also contributing two boards, two assists and a steal.

Over the last 11 seasons (since the start of 2013-14), Duke has had an ACC Rookie of the Week in 86 of a possible 187 weeks (45.9%). Twenty-five different Blue Devils have won the award at least once in that time.
