Everyone seems to be energized all over the blogosphere and the net about the first game of the season. Everyone wants to see if this collection of talent is going to work together in typical Coach K style. It will be interesting to see how the lineups are juggled. Also a good subplot will be how the bigs play, much of Dukes success this season is going to depend on the strong forward / center position.
Princeton will not be a push over, expected to most likely win their league, Princeton also won 22 games this past year, and 20 of its last 25 games. This team led the Ivy League last season in scoring defense (53.3 ppg, No. 1 nationally), field goal percentage defense (.398) and rebounding defense (29.4 rpg). They also return their top 5 scorers and top 2 rebounders. Duke cannot sleepwalk into this game or bad things can definitely happen, it will be important for this team to get up for each opponent this year regardless of rank or position.
