Jon Scheyer, the 10th best recruiter according to The Field of 68, has landed prized recruit TJ Power. Power, a 6’8, 215lb forward out of Massachusetts, has seen his stock significantly rise this summer and he has cemented himself as one of the absolute best shooters in the class of 2023. Shooting has been a huge priority for new Head Coach Jon Scheyer and Power with his versatility fits that exact mold. A good handle for his position, Power can operate in the trenches or float out to the perimeter where some say he does his best work.

Power showed out in the summer circuit that he is a force on both sides of the court. At Peach Jam Power averaged 15.3 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1.4 SPG and 1.6 BPG. His performance at Peach Jam won him the Defensive MVP. In the Nike EYBL Session in Kansas City he averaged 23.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game on 42.2 percent shooting, picking up Offensive MVP honors. ESPN currently ranks Power at 40 in his respective class, 247 Sports ranks him at 22, Rivals has him at 21 and On3 lists him at 20.

Power joins a class of four 5-Star players including forwards Mackenzie Mgbako and Sean Stewart and guards Caleb Foster and Jared McCain. TJ chose Duke over rival UNC, UVA, Iowa and Boston College.
