Last night, Coach K and the Blue Devils picked up the player that boosted them into the number one spot in the country, and ultimately heavy title favorites.
They picked up Sierra Canyon F Marvin Bagley Jr. who according to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi: “he’s a once in a generation player“. Bagley is coming off a strong year, he averaged 24.2PPG to go with 15RPG plus 2.0BPG.
This was a move that handed Duke the former #1 player in the 2018 class, key word former because now he’s the number one player in the 2017 class. Duke now holds the country’s best PG and country’s best player.
Just one night after the big announcement, Duke’s senior G and country’s top returning player, Grayson Allen, caught up with TMZ sports.
Allen told TMZ: “This move was big time. It’s gonna be very easy”
Allen also added how he will keep Bagley under his wing, that’s something that can be huge for Duke as they can easily become the county’s best 1-2 punch.
