Duke freshman guard/forward Cooper Flagg was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, as well as the ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday.
A native of Newport, Maine, Flagg led Duke to a 69-55 road victory over No. 17 Arizona on Friday, November 22, scoring a game-high 24 points with team highs of seven rebounds and three blocked shots, along with three assists and a steal. The 6-9 freshman posted 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field in the second half to hold off a Wildcats’ comeback effort.
