Gary Trent Jr. notched a career high in scoring on the road at Miami, a place that Duke has struggled playing at during the tenure of Coach Jim Larranaga.
Trent Jr. shot 9-14 overall and 6-9 from beyond the arc while pulling down 5 rebounds. Trent’s flurry of 3 pointers sparked the Duke rally after a 7:45 minute offensive drought.
The freshmen wing is now shooting 41% from beyond the arc and 48% in conference games.
