Duke Coach in waiting Jon Scheyer has offered a pair of 2023 forwards out of Brewster academy in 6’9 Taylor Bowen and 6’10 Matas Buzelis. Coach Scheyer and Duke currently have one commit in the 2023 class in point guard Caleb Foster. Duke has now offered six 5 star prospects in the class including the aforementioned Foster (committed), GG Jackson, Mackenzie Mgbako, GG Jackson and the most recent offers Taylor Bowen & Matas Buzelis.
Taylor Bowen is ranked just outside the top 20 and is a versatile forward who can defend and multiple positions. Bowen has worked hard on increasing his offensive value and has an emerging perimeter game to go along with his abilities around the rim.
Buzelis, even at 6’10, has guard skills in terms of his handle and his ability to make shots. He’s got a crafty dribble and perimeter moves perfect for the next level. He can score at all 3 levels and is quickly shooting up the rankings. Currently ranked just outside the top 10 there’s no doubt that ranking will become higher before all is said and done.
