Marvin Bagley, the consensus number 1 player regardless of class has decided to not only reclassify for the 2017 class but has also committed to Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils. In what has been a whirl-wind recruitment that reached a fevered pitch this summer, Duke and Bagley mutually decided that being able to move up a class was a great fit for both. Bagley joins a class that includes: Trevon Duval, Jordan Goldwire, Alex O’Connell, Gary Trent, Jordan Tucker and Wendell Carter.
Bagley is a 6’11 power forward with skills to play and defend multiple positions. Bagley will most likely be utilized in the stretch-4 position. He’s an athletic and skilled big man who can impact the game at both ends of the floor. Scouts are calling him the most league ready player in years and he lands on a Duke roster with a ton of talent. Bagley, along with Marques Bolden and Wendell Carter could be the most talented front court trio in the nation if all stay healthy.
