Moore Undergoes Successful Surgery on Broken Hand

Per Duke Sports Information:

DURHAM — Duke men’s basketball freshman forward Wendell Moore Jr., underwent successful surgery on Monday to repair a broken fourth metacarpal in his right hand. He is out indefinitely, but expected to return this season.

Dr. David Ruch performed the procedure and was assisted by Dr. Marc Richard.

Moore, who sustained the injury late in the game at Miami on Saturday night, had played in all 14 games, with five starts. The Charlotte, N.C., native was averaging 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game.

No. 2 Duke (13-1, 3-0) is at Georgia Tech Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
