Duke announced its preseason men’s basketball schedule Wednesday, featuring a home scrimmage against Belmont, a home exhibition game versus Tennessee and a road exhibition contest at Kansas.
The Blue Devils open preseason play Thursday, Oct. 8, against Belmont at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Bruins posted a 26-6 overall record and won the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship last season. Former Duke assistant coach Evan Bradds enters his first season as head coach at his alma mater.
Duke continues its preseason slate Tuesday, Oct. 20, against Tennessee at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Volunteers won 25 games, advanced to the Elite Eight as a No. 6 seed and finished No. 12 in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll last season. The Blue Devils and Volunteers met in an exhibition game last year in Knoxville, with Duke earning an 83-76 victory on Oct. 26, 2025.
Duke concludes preseason play Sunday, Oct. 25, against Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. The Blue Devils have played just one regular-season game at Allen Fieldhouse, earning a 74-70 overtime victory over the Jayhawks on Feb. 20, 1988. Kansas finished last season with a 24-11 record and ranked No. 20 in the final AP poll.
In October 2027, Duke will host Kansas for an exhibition game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
