Head Coach Jon Scheyer has added one of the top international prospects to the 2023 class in combo guard Tyrese Proctor. The Australian born Proctor is a 6’4 guard who is a high IQ player and an excellent passer. He makes very good use of the dribble to create separation for his jumper, to probe the defense and to set up his teammates. Proctor is a deadly isolation scorer who can break defenses down off the dribble and get to his spots with relative ease.

Currently Procter plays and trains at the NBA Global Academy (Australia) where they’ve produced high level NBA players like Andrew Bogut, Matthew Dellavedova, Dante Exum, Joe Ingles, Luc Longley and Patty Mills. Proctor chose the Blue Devils over Arizona and the G-League and joins a class that features Caleb Foster, Sean Stewart and Jared Mccain.

Duke can get a glimpse of Tyrese and other Duke signees and targets at the Nike Hoops Summit. The Hoop Summit will be livestreamed for free on Friday at 7 p.m. on usabasketball.com and nba.com, @usabasketball (Twitter) and the NBA’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
