The field for the Blue Devil Challenge, a men’s basketball multi-team event (MTE) to played in November, was announced Tuesday with Duke hosting Bucknell, La Salle and Southern Indiana at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The three-game round robin event begins Tuesday, Nov. 14 with La Salle hosting Bucknell. Duke’s three games will each be played in Durham, beginning Friday, Nov. 17 vs. Bucknell. Duke welcomes La Salle on Tuesday, Nov. 21 and caps the event by hosting Southern Indiana on Friday, Nov. 24.

Game times and broadcast details are still to be determined.

These three games add to Duke’s 2023-24 non-conference schedule, which also includes marquee matchups vs. Michigan State and Arizona and a game in the inaugural ACC-SEC Challenge.

After hosting the Wildcats at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday, Nov. 10, the Blue Devils and Spartans clash in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the United Center in Chicago. The ACC-SEC Challenge matchups, along with the remainder of Duke’s non-conference slate, have yet to be announced.

Duke finished the 2022-23 season 27-9 overall and 14-6 in the ACC under first-year head coach Jon Scheyer, winning the ACC Championship for the 22nd time and reaching the NCAA Tournament for the 45th time in the program’s storied history. Duke went undefeated at Cameron Indoor last season and enters the 2023-24 season on a 16-game home winning streak.

Duke is 3-0 all-time vs. Bucknell, with the most recent meeting on Jan. 2, 2006, an 84-50 victory for the Blue Devils. Duke is 4-0 in the all-time series with La Salle and the teams are playing for the first time since a 61-60 win on Jan. 8, 1983. The Southern Indiana matchup is the first between the two teams.
